DS8 Desktop Studio Monitor Stands for Larger Speakers

Fluid Audio DS8 desktop studio monitor stands are supplied as a pair for 7-inch and 8-inch monitors. Choose a height of 3 or 6 inches (76.2 or 152.4 mm) and a tilt of 0°, 3° or 6° to aim the speakers toward your listening position. Rubber contact points help reduce vibration transfer to the desk, with a maximum load of 13 kg per stand.

Fits 7" and 8" monitors 3" or 6" height Flat, 3° or 6° tilt Up to 13 kg per stand

Better Placement Starts With the Listening Axis

Larger nearfield monitors often sit too low when placed directly on a desk. DS8 helps you raise and angle the speakers toward your listening position. For guidance on height, angle and desk placement, read our desktop studio monitor stands guide.

Bring tweeters closer to ear level

Raising the monitors can improve on-axis listening, particularly at high frequencies where tweeter output becomes more directional.

Aim the monitors toward you

Flat, 3 degree and 6 degree settings let you adjust the speaker angle when the monitor is positioned above or below the ideal listening axis.

Reduce direct desk coupling

Fluid Audio Vibreaker rubber contact points provide an absorbent interface between the monitor, stand and desktop.

Adjustable placement

Two Heights. Three Angles. Built for Bigger Desktop Monitors.

Configure the DS8 around your desk, speaker size and seated listening height instead of accepting a fixed monitor position.

Choose the height and angle that fit your setup

The DS8 includes short and tall post sets plus interchangeable feet for flat and angled positioning.

3 inch / 76.2 mm height Lower configuration when the monitor needs moderate elevation above the desktop.

6 inch / 152.4 mm height Higher configuration for desks or monitors that need substantially more elevation.

Flat, 3° or 6° inclination Use the supplied foot options to keep the monitor level or angle it toward the listening position.

Purpose-built construction

A Stable Platform for Larger Nearfield Monitors

DS8 combines vinyl-laminated MDF middle stabilizers with polypropylene stand posts and highly absorbent 40-durometer rubber contact points. The result is a desktop platform built specifically for larger 7 inch and 8 inch monitoring systems.

Vinyl-laminated MDF stabilizers MDF is used for the middle stabilizer sections to provide a rigid and acoustically well-damped support structure.

Polypropylene posts The stand posts use polypropylene, selected to minimize the ringing associated with conventional ABS plastic.

40-durometer Vibreaker rubber Highly absorbent rubber contact points are used at both the top and bottom of the stand to help isolate the monitor from the desk.

Designed for Larger Desktop Monitoring Systems

DS8 gives 7 inch and 8 inch nearfield monitors a dedicated desktop support system without requiring full floor stands. That makes it well suited to home studios, project studios, editing rooms and production desks where accurate positioning matters but space is limited.

DS8 FAQ

Common DS8 Questions

Quick answers about monitor size, height, angle, isolation and load capacity.

Should I choose DS8 or DS5 monitor stands?

DS8 offers a larger footprint, 3-inch or 6-inch height settings and a maximum load of 13 kg per stand. For compact 4-inch and 5-inch monitors, compare the DS5 desktop monitor stands, with 2.5-inch or 5-inch height settings and a maximum load of 10 kg per stand. Both models are supplied as a pair and support 0°, 3° and 6° tilt. Check cabinet dimensions and weight before choosing either model.

What size studio monitors fit the Fluid Audio DS8?

DS8 is designed for 7-inch and 8-inch studio monitors. Driver size alone does not confirm a fit: check that the cabinet rests securely on the rubber support points and that each speaker weighs no more than 13 kg. Use the dimensions above to check your setup before ordering.

How high can the DS8 raise my monitors?

The DS8 can be configured at approximately 3 inches / 76.2 mm or 6 inches / 152.4 mm.

Can the DS8 angle the monitors toward my ears?

Yes. The stand supports flat positioning plus 3 degree and 6 degree inclination settings.

How much weight can each DS8 stand support?

The maximum supported load is 28.6 lb / 13 kg per stand.

How does the DS8 help isolate monitors from the desk?

The DS8 uses highly absorbent 40-durometer rubber contact points at the top and bottom of the stand. Fluid Audio refers to this isolation system as Vibreaker technology.

Is the DS8 sold individually or as a pair?

DS8 is supplied as one pair of desktop monitor stands.
